Become a Sponsor
We are committed to ensuring that our events are as accessible as possible to all passionate and dynamic young people, regardless of their financial means. As a sponsor, your support will go directly towards funding their participation costs (transport, accommodation, meals, conference participation fees…).
We are keen to tailor our sponsorship packages to the needs and preferences of the organizations and individuals who support us.
Here are some of the ways in which we can support you or your organization:
- Your logo and profile on our event communications material (eg. printed documents, YouTube videos)
- Featured article(s) about you or your organization on our website
- Advertising for your organization’s events via our media platforms (eg. website, Facebook, Twitter)
- Video interview published on our website
- Opportunity to meet and discuss with our delegates
- Reduced participation fees for our events
- Publication of job or internship postings for your organization that could be of interest to our members and broader community via our members’ newsletter and / or social media
- …your suggestions?
Delegate Sponsorship and Mentoring
You can give your support to a particular youth delegate eg. Commissioner for Economic and Monetary Affairs, and the Euro, or the High Representative for Foreign Affairs. This sponsorship will go directly towards covering the delegate’s summit participation fees, and travel and accommodation costs.
As a Delegate Sponsor and Mentor, you will also be able to offer your advice to the delegate for preparing their participation in the Summits – whether on factual aspects of their topic, understanding the broader dynamic of the debate or managing negotiations. In return, the Delegate you are mentoring will provide you with feedback on the Summit for their Committee. Again, we would be happy to discuss you or your organization’s preferences.
The recruitment process for the Y7 and Y20 is a rigorous selection of those candidates who are passionate about European affairs, demonstrate a keen interest and core knowledge of topic areas related to their portfolio, energy and enthusiasm to commit to several months of intensive preparation, and a capacity to work well in a team.
Past participants have gained a great deal from the Summits, many of them motivated to remain actively involved in YEL afterwards. We want to improve the support we give to delegates to enable them to get even more out of the experience, so they finish the summits better prepared and inspired to play a proactive role in shaping their communities.
Your guidance and expertise could help make a real difference to a young person’s learning and understanding of how they can positively shape their community on the local and international level, not just for the Summits, but over the long term. To learn more about the type of profile of delegates that you could mentor, you can look at the profiles of our EU delegations from the past Y7/8/20 Summits and other initatives.
